First 2028 Democrat Announces They Are Not Running For President

Maryland Governor Wes Moore has announced he will not run for president in 2028, despite widespread speculation about his future in national politics.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Moore said, “I’m not running,” and dismissed any interest in a vice-presidential role.

He emphasized his commitment to Maryland and explained his out-of-state appearances are focused on attracting business to the state. Moore, now in his third year as governor, plans to seek reelection in 2026.

Meanwhile, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg continues to raise his national profile, fueling speculation about a possible 2028 presidential run.
